Laura Secord, Director of Community Engagement

Laura Secord earned her MFA in Creative Writing from Sierra Nevada College. A Pushcart nominee, her poems have appeared in multiple print and online journals.

She is a lead poetry teacher with the Woodlawn Writer's Corps, and leads the Six Poets Leaping generative writer's workshops. She is the co-founder of Sister City Connection Spoken Word Collective, and edited their anthology, Voices of Resistance. She’s passionate about telling untold stories of women’s lives.
